How Slate differs from a calendar

You list the work, not the times. Give each activity a priority and a duration, and Slate places it for you. There's nothing to drag onto a grid.
Your day is fixed-length chunks. Work is poured into chunks in priority order. Anything that doesn't fit today carries over to the next chunk or the next day.
The plan reflows itself. Change a priority, finish early, or add something urgent, and every upcoming day rearranges. Past days stay locked as a record of what happened.

This is a stand-alone application that runs entirely in your browser. Your progress and settings are stored only in this browser's local storage. No user data leaves your browser, and nothing is collected or shared.
